  • What is Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy is a branch of rehabilitative healthcare that aims to improve or restore physical function, mobility, and quality of life through targeted exercises, manual therapy, and other modalities. It's often prescribed to individuals recovering from injury, surgery, or those with chronic conditions to optimize movement and alleviate pain, tailored to individual needs and goals.

  • Do I need a referral from a MD?
Yes, you are required to have a MD referral by your health insurance for you to be seen by a licensed physical therapist. You are allowed to see a PT with “Direct Access” in the state of Texas. “Direct Access” means you are able to go to a PT without a referral however your therapy is limited to 10-15 business days after which you will be REQUIRED to obtain a referral from an MD. If planning to go this route, you cannot use your health insurance for coverage. It is easier to have a referral on file from the beginning of your therapy to prevent any lapse in care.
  • What should I expect on my first visit to Physical Therapy?
During your initial appointment, our therapists will conduct a comprehensive assessment to evaluate your condition, discuss your medical history, and develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.
  • How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions required varies depending on the severity of your condition, your response to treatment, and your treatment goals. Your therapist will discuss this with you and adjust the treatment plan as necessary.
  • Do you take my insurance?
We take a variety of health insurances ranging from Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, and Marketplace health plans. Please contact us prior to your first visit to see if we participate with your specific health plan and to find out your coverage for PT services based on your individual policy.
  • What do I need to bring in on my first visit?
